About this role
Handshake seeks skilled QGIS users for flexible, hourly contract work supporting AI research. Draw on hands-on experience with geographic information systems, spatial data analysis, or environmental mapping to evaluate AI-generated content. Provide feedback that helps AI better understand GIS tasks and spatial data workflows.
This ongoing, project-based opportunity fits alongside other commitments. Use QGIS expertise to create tool-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world GIS workflows. No prior AI or technical experience is required.
Work as an independent contractor in a fully remote setup from anywhere with reliable internet and a desktop or laptop. Enjoy a flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement; many contribute 5–20 hours per week on active projects. Projects open periodically across expertise areas year-round.
Get matched to relevant projects after creating a Handshake account, uploading your resume, and verifying identity. Placement depends on current needs, with consideration for future opportunities. F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify, pending school approval.
