Kinross Gold Corporation

CA · Full-time · C$80,000 – C$95,000

About this role

The Great Bear project is a development-stage asset in the Red Lake mining district, one of the most exciting recent gold discoveries globally. It has potential to become a top-tier deposit supporting a large, long-life mine complex. Kinross’ exploration and development program aims for a high-grade open-pit mine and sizeable underground mine.

Under the guidance of the Chief Geologist, Core Logging Geologists are positive, hardworking team players passionate about geology. They work independently to understand geologic factors and improve knowledge of the mineralized system. The role grows the project from generative exploration and drill targeting to resource delineation and grade control.

Primary duties include logging diamond drill core, emphasizing lithology, structure, mineralization, and alteration. Geological interpretations follow each hole or fan of logging. Provide drill shutdowns and line-ups when the survey team is unavailable, and fill in for UG/OP Beat Geologists as needed.

Work in a healthy environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to accident-free operations. Align with Kinross’ Safeground principles, complying with federal, provincial acts, regulations, and Great Bear policies. Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Red Lake, Ontario, prioritized on an 8x6 schedule.

Benefits foster employee growth, celebrate achievements, and reward team success. Opportunities include training, development, and potential relocation assistance. Join to contribute to advancing the Great Bear project toward mining operations.
