The Phoenix-based Environmental Services team is growing and seeks an enthusiastic Project Level candidate for site investigation, remediation, and environmental planning practices. This role involves field and office tasks on multidisciplinary teams for assessments, due diligence, and permitting.
Support and organize ongoing projects by coordinating data collection, subcontractors, research, and permit preparation. Focus on managing site investigation and remediation efforts within larger portfolios, including data interpretation, deliverable preparation, and project tracking. Conduct internal and external communications to advance select sites.
Join a team naturally committed to the environment, collaborating with top professionals on vital client and community work. Represent Stantec professionally with clients, property owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders during field assignments and public engagements. Demonstrate sound application of established practices, standards, and guidelines.
Contribute to environmental planning and technical assessments for federal, state, county, and municipal permitting projects. Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, completing required trainings like OSHA. Troubleshoot issues and provide administrative support as needed for project success.
Requirements
- Proficient in policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training
- Knowledge of environmental site assessments and Phase I ESAs
- Experience with groundwater and soil sampling techniques
- Familiarity with drilling oversight, soil logging, and vapor sampling
- Ability to oversee remediation contractor activities and O&M
- Understanding of environmental permitting processes for federal, state, and local projects
- Competence in data interpretation and technical report preparation
- Adherence to health, safety, and OSHA training requirements
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor established project plans
- Coordinate and schedule project execution and field activities
- Oversee subcontractors such as laboratories, private locators, and drillers
- Perform field work including Phase I ESA site visits, groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, soil logging, soil vapor sampling, and underground storage tank closures
- Prepare technical documents and reports from start to finish
- Communicate with clients and determine paths forward for select sites
- Research and provide due diligence permitting support
- Interact with team members to collaboratively solve problems and troubleshoot issues
