The Hydrogeology Superintendency manages water resources to ensure safe and sustainable mining operations. It develops conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models, prepares monitoring reports for authorities, manages production and observation well drilling, and interacts with areas like Environment, Geotechnics, and Projects.
Day-to-day involves coordinating dewatering and depressurization works with Mine Operations, Development, Planning, Drilling, and contractors. Supervise hydraulic tests including pumping tests, Lefranc, Lugeon, and Slug Tests during well drilling. Manage works across pits, tailings dams, leach pads, dumps, and more.

Requirements
- Professional degree in Geology
- Desirable postgraduate studies
- Knowledge of conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models
- Experience with well drilling management and observation wells
- Familiarity with hydraulic tests including Lefranc, Lugeon, pumping tests, and Slug Tests
- Ability to coordinate with mining operations, geotechnics, environment, and projects
- Proficiency in piezometer installation and monitoring
Responsibilities
- Coordinate execution of dewatering and depressurization works, establishing action plans with Mine Operations, Development, Planning, Drilling, and collaborating companies
- Coordinate, supervise, and manage hydrogeology works in pits, tailings dams, leach pads, dumps, and other areas
- Supervise, coordinate, and design hydraulic tests during production well and hydrogeological diamond drilling, including pumping tests, Lefranc tests, Lugeon tests, and Slug Tests
- Supervise cleaning, enabling, and development of production wells
- Manage and supervise mine dewatering works per operational needs, including pools, sumps, connections, canalizations, and well startups
- Manage and follow up safety activities by collaborating companies and internal teams
- Install, design, and control installation of vibrating wire piezometers
- Prepare reports and reports for internal and external clients
